Two end of summer series are underway as the season winds up and Ontario Poker players take one last shot before getting on that fall-season grind. Ontario Poker players can play in the ONCOOP Warm-Up series with some decent offerings, foreshadowing what MTT grinders have to look forward to shortly. They can also play in the GGPoker 2023 WSOP Online Bracelet series which is ongoing until the end of September and features 7 of 8 bracelets still up for grabs culminating in the $1,000 Main Event with the Final Day playing on September 18th.

I am excited to become aware that Live poker tournaments are back on the menu in Ontario, after experiencing a drought since the covid pandemic. Other than the CNE tournament last summer, (which is also running again this summer and ongoing now) live MTT players had to travel out of province to find any action until this month when Windsor's Casino held the Summer Blowout with a $1500 Main Event held on Aug 20. They have posted a tournament calendar and mtt's will be ongoing in Windsor.  We hope that tournaments come back across the board in the Ontario live poker market. It would be nice to take a shot at another WPT in Niagara Falls.

The partnership between Pokerstars and CNE and Pokerstars holding satellites online to the Philly Live series is another great sign of things to come when it comes to live tournament action in the province. It shouldn't be long before the other online sites start sponsoring some live action in the province.
