What's New in Ontario Poker?

These are the most recent happenings in Ontario Poker.
It all revolves around tournaments as the Ontario poker market heats up with each site competing with their own attractive tournaments series every season.
For me it's front and center, as a tournament grinder. Though these sites are also fiercely duking it out over market share in cash games. The competition that the Ontario poker market format provides is a huge win for the players in the province (as opposed to somewhere like BC or Quebec that have one licensed operator). This huge upside can be clearly seen in the massive tournament offerings we are provided with, despite the limited size geo-restricted player pool.

Jan 15th- 888Poker Ontario XL Winter Series gets underway with $400,000 in guarantees spread out amongst 40 events leading up to a massive $100,000 Mystery Bounty Main Event  concluding Day 2 on January 30th. $250 Day 1s of this multi-flight tournament are underway as of January 25th. Don't miss out on this value in this huge tournament.

Jan 15th-
WSOP.ca Mini-Millions gets underway with a series tailored towards the recreational and smaller bankroll grinders. This series runs until February 6th and culminates in its own $100,000 Mystery Bounty Main Event with a buy-in of only $10.50.  This affordable series is packed with big opportunities at a payday.

Jan 23rd-  Pokerstars follow-up to the popular Winter Series, the Chinese New Year events wrap up a very exciting season of an action-packed tournaments on the Ontario market leader.
We didn't have to wait long to see what Stars would be up to next as they immediately introduced the KO Weekend with this upcoming Sunday's events all becoming KO format with boosted guaranteed prizepools

Jan 24th - bwin Ontario Poker Championships wrapped up on January 24th. The highlight being a multi-flight $109 50k Main Event won by player BoomBoomKaching for $7,298 + (Bounties: C$3,725)

We're looking forward to getting in on the action! See you at the tables.
